Chiropractic Multidisciplinary Residency Program (CMRP)

Program Overview

Our goal is to produce the best evidence-informed outpatient physical medicine providers with leadership skills unmatched by peers.
Our residency program was developed through a combined effort and vision with consideration of all healthcare residency programs. As the chiropractic profession expands, we realize there is a need for real-world experience and advanced learning that only comes from a true residency program. Our multidisciplinary rotations include chiropractic, physical therapy, integrative medicine and acupuncture. Our providers provide a cohesive plan to improve our patient's lives.
The residency program is specifically tailored for recent graduates from a CCE-accredited chiropractic program. There is a competitive application process including virtual and in person interviews. We offer multidisciplinary clinical rotations, clinical mentorship, support and guidance for scholarly activities, a membership to the Brookbush Institute and access to SCU's academic resources. Additionally, the program includes leadership training and operational management skills.
The 12 month residency program is designed to encourage progressive skill development. Scholarly activities include two grand round presentations and one formal case study. Weekly mentor sessions with our clinicians and the development of a learning portfolio are completion requirements of the program. Patient care, rehabilitation knowledge and manual skills are evaluated throughout the program to ensure synthesis of clinical reasoning to provide comprehensive care for patients.
Email us with further questions. We look forward to helping produce the next generation of excellent healthcare providers!

Academic Affiliates
This partnership allows residents and our clinicians access to SCU resources such as research support, faculty mentorship, integrative grand rounds and discounts on post-graduate seminars. For interested candidates that are a recent graduate or scheduled to graduate from SCU, you are guaranteed a virtual interview for the residency program if you decide to apply.
Partnerships
A membership to the Brookbush Institute is included as part of the residency program. This partnership is designed to create a resource for residents to access foundational physical medicine knowledge and identify rationale for evidence-informed practice. The resident is expected to complete virtual courses towards the Human Movement Specialist or Integrated Manual Therapist certificate.
Scholarly support comes from the Case Study Report (CARE) guidelines, published in the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology in 2017 and the CARE writer app.
We are proud to partner with ChiroUp and give our residents an unlimited ChiroUp account. This allows the resident to access evidence-based content to inform clinical practice and advance their knowledge.
It is the mission of Motion Palpation Institute to help you become the best palpator and adjustor on the planet. MPI strives to challenge the status quo of protocol-driven technicians by creating a culture of potential-pushing, excellence-driven DC's that continually seek clinical mastery of their hands and minds so they can serve their patients at the highest levels.
Partnering with Dr. Sarah Duvall and her Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) certification course. This course is designed to provide clinicians with the ability to effectively evaluate and treat pregnant and post-partum patients through corrective exercises, training for more than the pelvic floor and core.
